From the Office of the GRAND KNIGHT:

Well the communion breakfast was well attended by our members and some non –members.

Many thanks to all who helped make it a success. Boutonnieres were given to all officers and bouquets

given to Past Grand Knight wives. Andy Onacilla was my selection for Knight of the Year. Andy is

always there to help the Knights of Columbus, whatever the job may be. He is a true Knight.

Our Field Agent Daniel Kurek received, the Council first ever, Outstanding Service Award. Dan is

another true Knight. To these two gentlemen I can only say Thank You, God Bless.

Our new building is now open, it is beautiful, if you have not yet been  a visitor, get moving, you

are missing something spectacular. The Columbian Holding Co. President John Fekety PFN, has spent

endless hours putting this building together along with his assistant Gene Gallagher PFN, PGK, it is

special. Now with a new building, let’s get some new and old members involved in many of our

programs to help the community.

The Past Grand Knights who are Council Officers are a tireless group, in their efforts to keep our

Council moving forward. I am so lucky as Grand Knight to have them. They really are the best,

that anyone could want as officers. Robert Mittenzwei PGK,  Andy Onacilla PGK,

Carmine Borzelli PGK, PFN,  John Rokicki PGK, PFN, and especially Pat Pecoraro PGK, and

Ted Hojnowski PGK, FS this group has more than enough talent to successfully operate Exxon Oil

and keep record breaking profits a must. This group will keep our council moving forward for

many years to come. I have been very fortunate to have them guide me as your Grand Knight.

                                                                                         Fraternally yours,

                                                                                               Frank E. Martin Grand Knight

Palm Sunday Mass and the Breakfast went very well. Our thanks to Marguerite Baber, the

founder and Chairman of the Board of trustees of the Simpson-Baber Foundation for Autistic.

She spoke about the mission of the Simpson Baber Foundation for the Autistic, Inc. is to

educate the public on the spectrum of Autism and provide educational, social and recreational

opportunities to children with Autism.

“ Our most ambitious project to date is the Busy Bee Center for children with Autism. Housed

at the Bayonne Medical Center, it is the first of its kind intervention program for children as young

as 18 months. Co-sponsored by the Foundation, the Bayonne Medical Center and the Bayonne

Board of Education, Busy Bee strives to take advantage of, and enlarge, the limited window

of opportunity for successful treatment of Autism. Fulfilling this mission depends on the

generosity of our sponsors and donors.”

Insurance News

Concerned about a comfortable and worry-free retirement? Now, in addition to our traditional

Flexible Premium Annuity, the Knights of Columbus has introduced the Vantage Single Premium

Deferred Annuity, and it may be part of the answer for you.

With a single deposit of $25,000 or more, the VANTAGE allows you to lock –in a guaranteed

interest rate for 5 years, In addition, there are several attractive renewal options once the 5- year

period has expired, including keeping the funds in another VANTAGE Annuity, placing them

in a more traditional flexible annuity where the interest rate can be changed on a quarterly or more

frequent basis or- in the 30 day period prior to fifth and tenth policy Annuity where the interest rate

can be changed on a quarterly or more frequent basis or – in the 30- day period prior to the fifth and

tenth policy anniversaries - withdrawing the funds without a surrender charge.

The VANTAGE Annuity, along with our Flexible Premium Annuity, both provide the guarantees

that the Knights of Columbus members have come to expect – guaranteed interest rates along

with absolute safety of principal. In addition, we can easily accommodate rollovers and transfers

free of charge.

I will be happy to meet with you at your convenience – in your home or at our new Council hall –

worry free retirement you want and deserve.
